It was a disappointed Swedish national team after the 2-6 loss to the USA in the semifinal.
The goal of a World Championship gold on home soil did not just crack, it was completely destroyed by a USA that never gave the home stars a chance.
This made parts of the audience in Globen boo and whistle out the Swedes after the second period.
Then, a disappointed Sam Hallam got into a verbal fight with the Viaplay studio, presenter Niklas Jihde and expert Erik Granqvist, afterwards when they pointed out the many years' shortcomings.
Sweden has not been in a World Championship final since 2018.
I know, it has been nagging about it all year. We can do what we can in these tournaments, we can't influence what happened before. We stand honestly and say we're going for a win, but we haven't succeeded and it's incredibly sour. We are incredibly disappointed, it's a failure. But I can't go back to what happened several years ago, said Hallam, among other things.
"Not easy"
Sam Hallam can at best lead Tre Kronor to a second consecutive World Championship bronze on Sunday afternoon against giant-killer Denmark, which clearly lost to Switzerland in its semifinal.
With the star teams Tre Kronor had last year and this year, it's a meager yield.
Lucas Raymond, Detroit star, about reloading after the disappointment:
We'll see, it's not easy, but a medal is always a medal even if we had wanted to play for tomorrow.
"Up to us all"
Mika Zibanejad is on the same track.
It wasn't the medal you came here to play for. It should be sour now, then we'll reload and see to it that we finish the tournament in a good way.
Hallam counted on a tough evening for all involved on Saturday evening.
When you wake up tomorrow, it's a new hockey game. Everyone knows it's much more fun to win the last match than to lose it. But it's a challenge. It's up to us all to take individual responsibility and do what we can for the team's sake, he says.
