Rasmus Andersson has undeniably had a good week at work. Calgary won three out of four games – and Andersson played a big part in the success.
The 29-year-old defenseman, who was Tre Kronor's team captain in the home World Cup this spring, was noted for nine points (2+7) in the four games. On Monday, Andersson was named the best player in the NHL of the week, ahead of Columbus defenseman Zach Werenski and San Jose's 19-year-old star center Macklin Celebrini.
So far this season, Andersson has scored 16 points (5+11) in 24 games and is twelfth in the points league for defensemen.
