Swedbank lowers the interest rate on its variable mortgages by 0.25 percentage points. The list rate on loans with a three-month binding period is now at 4.99 percent.

SBAB has also lowered its variable interest rates ahead of the Swedish Central Bank's interest rate decision next week.

Both the market and the analyst corps expect a so-called double cut from the Swedish Central Bank of 0.50 percentage points in November.
