The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, MSB, says that it is likely to be Russian disruptions, especially when it comes to ambulances near the Baltic coast that are affected.
GPS disruptions have become a growing problem in recent times. In 2023, 55 GPS disruptions aimed at Sweden were registered. Until September this year, the number is 733. According to the Transport Agency, the disruptions come from, among other places, Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg.
Among other things, Destination Gotland has been forced to equip its ferries with alternative navigation methods, after repeated disruptions to the map system. Air traffic has also been affected.
