The object was discovered outside a residence in Södertälje in the morning and were alerted by the family at the address. The residents in the vicinity are no longer accommodated.
There is no danger, says Daniel Wikdahl, the police's press spokesperson.
The crime classification is attempted aggravated general destruction and violation of the law on fire hazardous and explosive goods.
The police are now working with door-to-door canvassing in the area and with questioning of the victims.

Currently, there is no suspected perpetrator.
