A man who is suspected of having ordered the murder of a 56-year-old man in Skurup is being requested to be extradited from Iraq, reports Ystads Allehanda.

Previously, a 14-year-old boy has been found guilty of shooting the man in August last year and another teenage boy has been found guilty of instigating the murder.

The murder is believed to be a revenge action since the 56-year-old's son got into conflict with a criminal gang with connections to the Foxtrot network.

The 27-year-old suspected murderer has been detained in his absence since last November. He was arrested in Iraq last summer.

In a first step, the prosecutor has now made a request to the Swedish Ministry of Justice to request his extradition to Sweden. The man, who is an Iraqi citizen, is suspected of being involved in several violent crimes in Sweden.

He has held a leading position in the criminal Foxtrot network and had a key role in the gang's orders for violent acts in Sweden, reported SVT in connection with the arrest last summer.
