The 26-year-old suspected of the murder in Rönninge in December sought help himself for unwanted sexual impulses. But it took over a year before the first treatment session - and then it stopped.

The 26-year-old suspected of murdering a young woman in Rönninge in December sought help for pedophilia and unwanted sexual impulses before his release, according to P4 Stockholm. The 26-year-old was convicted, among other things, of attempting to kidnap a ten-year-old girl, and was assessed as suffering from pedophilia with a high risk of relapse.

Prior to his supervised release, the convicted person contacted the Anova clinic at Karolinska University Hospital, which offers treatment for pedophilia and unwanted sexual impulses.

However, it took a year and a half before a treatment meeting was held at Anova. At that time the 26-year-old was on supervised release, and when it ended, the Swedish Prison and Probation Service stated that the treatment "had not been carried out regularly."
