Ebba Svensson Träff, the Linköping goalkeeper, didn't fare well against the USA either.
She saved 19 of 23 shots, but when she conceded her fourth goal, the second in quick succession, national captain Ulf Lundberg chose to replace her with Emma Söderberg.
Would you have liked to stay?
"There's nothing you can do about it now. You just have to recharge; there's a really important bronze medal match coming up," says the 21-year-old from Oskarshamn.
"Damn good lesson"
She is described as a highly competitive person, and after four wins - one of them with Emma Söderberg in goal - and two clean sheets, the first loss came.
"It's a damn good lesson, and the next time we meet them we'll have them," says Ebba Svensson Träff and describes the qualities of world champion USA:
"They are skilled, fast in everything they do, and when they get a chance, they put it away."
"Not on her"
Emma Söderberg, who saved 10 of 11 American shots after coming on, doesn't think Ebba Svensson Träff has anything to be ashamed of.
"I just told her when we switched how cruel it is and that this is not on her in any way. We are facing a very skilled team and they take their chances when they get them," says Söderberg.
Ebba Svensson Träff on the next challenge, the bronze medal match on Thursday:
"Just let this go and then we'll go for the bronze."
