There was no accurate shooting on the range - but there was no shortage of drama in Saturday's chase start. Sebastian Samuelsson drove all the way to the podium despite a shaky shooting day. "I'm not exactly happy about having six misses," said the Swede on SVT.

The strong wind turned the shooting range in Oberhof into a lottery at the start of the chase. Shots flew in all directions and hardly any skier managed to avoid missing.

Neither did the Swedes.

Sebastian Samuelsson missed six shots, but still made a strong comeback. From fourth place, he moved up to third, securing a podium finish despite the difficult conditions.

"It was a low level throughout for everyone. I'm not exactly happy with missing six shots, but at the same time there weren't many who did better," says Samuelsson.

He doesn't really have any explanation for the mishap.

"I don't know. It was a strange competition. My hands froze a bit in the first shooting. You have to do better, but I have to be happy with third place. It's not every time you're on the podium; when you are, you have to be happy," he says.

Italian Tommaso Giacomel had the same problems on the range, with six misses, but once again showed his class on the track. Just like on Thursday, he emerged victorious again on Saturday.

Martin Ponsiluoma also delivered an impressive performance. Despite six penalty rounds, he advanced nine places - from 14th to fifth place.
