"The Great Elk March" on SVT is a viewer favorite. Now researchers will study why the slow-motion nature broadcasts have become such a success.
A researcher at Jönköping University (JU) wants to find out, among other things, what makes the broadcasts so engaging even for international viewers.
The project will involve interviews with the production team and viewers in Northern Europe and Canada, as well as on-site observations during the broadcast.
“It is a unique opportunity to explore the craft behind the camera and to learn from audiences outside Sweden what makes them tune in and follow moose on their hike,” says Annette Hill, professor of media and communication studies at JU.
