The application is the third to be received for government support for new nuclear power in Sweden.
Once the application has been submitted, negotiations will begin between the government and the company regarding the terms and scope of the support. The support will also be assessed for compatibility with EU state aid rules.
In December last year, Videberg Kraft applied for support to build reactors on the Värö Peninsula outside Varberg, where the Ringhals nuclear power plant is located.
Earlier in June this year, the company Blykalla applied for support for a reactor project at Norrsundet outside Gävle.
