The police and the Swedish Prosecution Authority are therefore tasked with strengthening their work to prevent, investigate and prosecute mass crime.
What is obvious now is that large parts of mass crime are also organised, this applies above all to fraud, says Gunnar Strömmer at a press briefing after a meeting with the Council for Organized Crime.
The same "shift in position" that has been made regarding deadly gang violence must now also take place within mass crime, according to Strömmer.
Violent crime can involve things like theft, burglary, vandalism and fraud.
