Saab once again finished at the top of the large-cap index OMXS30, climbing 3 percent, followed by technology trading company Addtech, up 1.4 percent.
Among the losers on the same index were Wallenberg Sphere's venture capital firm EQT, which lost 3.9 percent, while AstraZeneca fell 1.9 percent.
Viaplay started sharply downward after a weak report, then managed to recover - but at close the decline remained, with the company's B shares down around 6 percent.
European stock markets were also in the red. London, Paris and Frankfurt all closed in the red. Wall Street began Thursday trading on the same slightly gloomy note.
The Swedish krona has weakened somewhat against both the US dollar and the euro. One dollar now costs approximately 9.07 kronor while the euro is 10.69 kronor. The price of oil continues to rise and a barrel of Brent oil now costs just over 71 dollars.
