Stefan Pettersson will step down as manager of the men's national football team after this summer's World Cup.

This was announced by the Swedish Football Association (SvFF), which will launch a reorganization later this year.

The role of national team manager will not be included in the new organization. Instead, Kim Källström will become head of a department consisting of the women's and men's senior teams, the U23 and U21 teams, as well as events and materials, SvFF says.

If Sweden is eliminated in the World Cup playoffs in March, Stefan Pettersson, who has been part of the men's national team staff since 2018, will end his assignment then.

Previously, SvFF announced that Marika Domanski Lyfors is leaving her role as manager of the women's national team.
