Keir Starmer will first lead a morning conversation with the Baltic countries, before welcoming Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj to 10 Downing Street in London. Later on Sunday, leaders from several European countries, including Sweden, will participate.
"Heading to London on Sunday and meeting Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other European colleagues to continue the discussions on Ukraine and the need for strong international support. Sweden stands by Ukraine's side and on the side of freedom. Their security ultimately also concerns Sweden's and Europe's security", writes Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson on X.
The top meeting will be used to drive the EU's action in Ukraine and "signal our collective unwavering support for securing a just and lasting peace and a lasting agreement that ensures Ukraine's future sovereignty and security", writes Starmer's office according to media.
Most of the invited guests belong to the EU, with Turkey being an exception, writes the news site Politico. Also, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Council President António Costa, as well as NATO's Secretary-General Mark Rutte are expected to participate in the meeting.
