Construction was paused at the end of June after hydrogen cyanide was discovered. Now SSAB says work will resume this week.

"The alarms concerned low levels of hydrogen cyanide and did not exceed applicable limit values," writes SSAB.

This spring, the steel manufacturer shut down operations for about two months after more than 30 workers fell ill at the construction site since the beginning of the year. Symptoms included nausea, nosebleeds and headaches.

The cause of the illness was then said to have been fine dust, the weather and seasonal viruses, according to SSAB.
