According to SSAB, tests now show low levels of hydrogen cyanide - below the short-term exposure limit - and the company has chosen to pause operations as a precautionary measure.
This spring, the steel manufacturer shut down operations for about two months after more than 30 workers fell ill at the construction site since the beginning of the year.
SSAB said at the time the illnesses were caused by dust particles, the weather and seasonal viruses.
