The fight broke out when the activists arrived at Bilbao airport and led to the arrest of four people - two of them were activists who had just returned home, the Basque police Ertzaintza wrote in a statement.
After the incident, Israel's Foreign Ministry was quick to react: "We demand an explanation from the Spanish government regarding its treatment of the flotilla activists," it said in a video post shared on X.
The response comes after widespread criticism, including from several EU countries, of the country's far-right Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, after he posted a video mocking kneeling activists.
