The two countries are not named directly when Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas arrives at today's EU defence ministers' meeting in Wicklow, south of Dublin. However, it is clear between the lines that she wants their stockpile of Patriot missiles to be sent to Kyiv.
"We know that some countries have deterrents (robots) that are about to expire. It would be very good if they could be given to Ukraine so that they can use them to protect their people," says Kallas.
Spain earlier this year promised at least five missiles to Ukraine, while Greece has so far said no, citing the need to keep its stockpile to protect its own airspace.
