The son hid hand grenades, automatic weapons and amphetamine at his old mother's home. Now the Court of Appeal has also come to the conclusion that the landlord has the right to evict her, reports Fastighetstidningen.

The 70-year-old woman, who has lived in the apartment for 30 years, has defended herself by saying that she did not know what was in the bag that one of the sons stored in her apartment, has Hem & Hyra previously reported.

But the rent tribunal and now also the court of appeal believe that she has failed in her supervisory responsibility. "The tenant neglected their obligations to such a serious degree that the lease agreement should not be extended", the court of appeal writes.

This is the first time that the municipal housing company MKB is using the law that makes it easier to terminate tenants. In Gothenburg, the housing company Poseidon has used it five times, while the municipal Stockholmshem has not used it yet, reports P4 Malmöhus.
