"We appreciate all the commitment to our dear association and fully understand the great disappointment that exists at this time. But we will never accept threats, violence or harassment," the association writes on its website.
The classic club is second-least in the country's second-highest hockey series with only 18 points after 19 games played.
"We at SSK completely agree that the start of the season has been far from our goals. During the day, Södertälje Sportklubb has received information that a serious threat has been made against a leader connected to our A-team. When the threat came to our attention, the incident was reported to the police immediately," writes SSK.
