The classic hockey club has had a tough autumn where an investment in established new acquisitions has not yielded results.
Now there are also warnings about a strained economy.
In an email conversation with the municipality, club director Kalle Boumedienne calls for two million kronor for national sports education, money the club received in 2024.
In addition, the municipality has announced that the current operating agreement for Scaniarinken will be terminated, something that will also cause the club to lose a lot of money.
According to an email, SSK hopes to receive some form of grant or other financial solution that would provide 2.5 million SEK urgently.
"If it continues like this, Södertälje Sportklubb will have to file for bankruptcy and close down operations," Boumedienne writes in an email to the head of the facilities unit.
In a response, the club receives the news that the contract may be extended by four months until September 1st - which would mean 2.4 million SEK that SSK can invoice in early January.
It's only been five days since fellow All-Swedish hockey club Nybro avoided bankruptcy after receiving five million kronor through private donations and contributions from sponsors.
