A concrete plan so effective measures can be put in place quickly, party leader Magdalena Andersson said at a press conference in the Riksdag.
In light of last week's new tariff threats from the Trump administration amid the Greenland crisis, she wants the government to conduct a vulnerability analysis and develop a protection plan to safeguard the Swedish economy, jobs and families.
Avoiding cuts to unemployment benefits and investing in short-time work schemes, as during the pandemic, are among the measures proposed by the Social Democratic leader.
She also criticizes the government for not having initiated the promised defense review and for not having met a previous Social Democratic demand for a new security policy analysis.
