The Government has after three years in power not prioritized the labor market crisis that Sweden is facing, means The Social Democrats. Now the party presents four demands to turn the development.

What is needed now is powerful measures that push back unemployment, says Ardalan Shekarabi (S) at a press conference.

The Social Democrats want the government to present proposals for activity requirements, invest in training that leads to jobs, stop the cutbacks at the Employment Service and invest in jobs for young people.

We unfortunately have 100,000 more unemployed today compared to when the government took office. We have half a million who are out of work, says Shekarabi and continues:

We also have a sky-high youth unemployment that is at the top of the league in the European Union.

According to Shekarabi, Sweden has the highest unemployment in the EU after Spain and Finland.

This is not a European phenomenon. It is the Sweden Democrats' and the government's own job crisis.
