It will be a slippery start to the weekend for central Sweden. SMHI is warning of sudden ice slicks.
On Friday morning, a rain area is moving in from the west over the country. The rain can be undercooled and thus cause problems on the roads.
SMHI has issued a yellow warning for sudden ice slicks in the central parts of the country, from Järpen in the west to Sundsvall in the east.
Those who need to venture out on the roads are advised to drive cautiously and adjust their speed to the road conditions, as well as allow for longer travel time. Public transportation may also be affected, with a risk of delays or cancelled departures.
The warnings apply until Saturday, when the rain turns to snowfall. Closest to the coast, it will likely be rain on Saturday evening.
