SMHI's yellow warnings for snowfall remain in place for most of Thursday. In an area that includes Skåne and Småland, snowfall is expected to be heavy at times until 11 p.m. SMHI warns of poor visibility and traffic disruptions.
In eastern Svealand and along the coast in southern Norrland, the snowfall is expected to subside earlier, and SMHI's nightly yellow warnings are provisionally valid until early Thursday morning.
Several traffic accidents have occurred in several parts of Sweden as a result of the snow. On the E4 outside Söderhamn, two cars collided, sending one person to hospital. According to the police, a number of trucks got stuck when they were forced to stop in connection with the accident.
There are still queues and at least two trucks are stuck. It will take a long time before it is finished, says Camilla Aggring, commander at the police.
