The pipeline was damaged in a Russian attack in January, and Russian oil has since been unable to be delivered via Ukraine to Hungary and Slovakia. The supply disruption led Hungary to halt the large EU loan to Ukraine that other heads of state and government had agreed to.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the pipeline had been repaired, and on Wednesday officials said oil had begun to be pumped through it.

After that, Hungary agreed to the EU lending the equivalent of almost 1,000 billion kronor to Ukraine.

There is no information as of Thursday morning about whether oil has also reached Hungary via the pipeline.
