The construction company Skanska reports an operating profit of 1.1 billion kronor for the first quarter. This can be compared to the profit of 0.5 billion kronor during the corresponding quarter a year earlier.
The revenues rose to 42.3 billion, compared to 36.4 billion kronor a year earlier. This was clearly higher than the analysts' expectations of 39.1 billion, according to Bloomberg's compilation.
The order intake in the construction business fell to 39.3 billion kronor, down from 46.9 billion during the same period last year.
