That's where it looks like it's snowing the most, says Moa Hallberg, a meteorologist at SMHI.
The forecast calls for between 10-20 centimeters of snow by Friday afternoon. The combination of snow and wind means that drifts can form on the roads and cause traffic problems.
The Swedish Transport Administration and the police urge road users not to travel unnecessarily. A few traffic accidents have occurred during the afternoon, but according to the police, none have been serious.
There is no major traffic impact, says Frida Strand, press officer at the Swedish Transport Administration, to TT at 6 p.m.
The orange warning is in effect until 2 p.m. on Friday.
