”Skandia prices mortgages based on the market situation and strives for adaptability to market interest rates. Therefore, we are now lowering the list interest rate for mortgages with a 3-month binding period by 0.25 percentage points”, Skandia writes in a press release.
On Tuesday, SBAB lowered the interest rates on variable-rate mortgages and mortgages with a one-year binding period.
Skandia leaves the interest rates on mortgages with a 1-5 year binding period unchanged.
The reductions come after the Swedish Central Bank last week lowered the benchmark interest rate by 0.25 percentage points to 2.00 percent.
A reduction of 0.25 percentage points means that the cost of a mortgage of three million kronor decreases by 7,500 kronor per year, if you disregard the effects of interest deductions.
