Today's winners in the battle to play Allsvenskan football also in 2026: Sirius who defeated Malmö FF with 5–1 and Häcken who made 3–1 away against Brommapojkarna.

Gabriel Busanello gazed at the Uppland sky and wondered what he had done to deserve such an unfortunate match start for him and Malmö.

Already after three minutes, he pushed the ball behind Robin Olsen, in a tight duel with Robbie Ure.

Then he made a failed pass into the field from his left-back position. Ure picked it up, played Isak Bjerkebo free, who shot low past Olsen.

- Extremely nice, fun to score a goal. But we must go for the "three" as well, says Bjerkebo to HBO Max.

Instead, Jens Stryger reduced the score.

MFF collapsed

Bjerkebo got what he wanted when Robbie Ure rushed forward and put his foot to an incoming pass.

MFF collapsed. The defensive work was non-existent. Leo Walta made it 4–1 and followed up with 5–1 on a penalty against a resigned former national team goalkeeper. What a swing for Sirius. From 2–8 against Djurgården to 5–1.

This was not what we expected. A crazy match, but we know that when we are at the top, we can score five goals, says Ure to HBO Max.

Häcken on safe ground?

A few miles south, at Grimsta IP, Daleho Irandust scored early 1–0 for Brommapojkarna against his old club Häcken.

There the fun ended.

Häcken turned the tables and when Irandust with an own goal made it 3–1 to Häcken, three extremely important points were secured. Häcken now stands at 32 points. Sirius' victory took the club to 29 points, the same number as Brommapojkarna and IFK Norrköping.

It is one more than Halmstad and four more than Öster on the qualifying spot. Below the relegation line are Degerfors with 23 and Värnamo with 15.
