The Aarauer Rave Vol 7 techno festival had been going on since Saturday afternoon and was due to end at 2 a.m., according to the organizers. Thousands of visitors were expected at the horse racing track.
The police in the canton of Aargau have deployed large resources and have also enlisted the help of the Swiss Armed Forces, which have contributed a helicopter, Blick reports. A large area has been cordoned off.
