Early on Saturday morning, the residents of a villa in Falkenberg were awakened by bangs that sounded like shots from some kind of weapon.

We received the alarm at 03.55 and went there and could confirm that shots had been fired at the property, says Jens Andersson, who is the police's press spokesperson in Region West.

The police immediately began searching for one or more perpetrators, but by 8 am on Saturday morning, no one had been arrested.

Nothing has immediately come to light about the victims that could explain the shooting. They are not known to the police from before.

No one was physically injured in the shooting. The incident is classified as attempted murder and serious weapons offense.
