Several shots were fired during the night towards a apartment door in the residential area of Valsta in Märsta in Sigtuna municipality, according to UNT.
A neighbor called and alerted, says Lotta Goffhé, police station commander Stockholm North.
The apartment was, however, empty at the time and the police believe it was a misfire. Neither the apartment owner nor relatives are known to the police previously.
The shots were fired at around 2 am. They did not go through the door, but left marks on it. The incident is classified as a serious offense against the weapons law.
No one has been arrested yet.
