Luleå forward Anton Levtchi is not allowed to play hockey or train at the moment. The Finn has had problems with his pulse. We don't know what it is at the moment, says Mattias Waaranperä, head of physical education at the SHL club, to NSD.

The problems were discovered during a training session, when it was noted that Anton Levtchi's heart rate was higher than it should have been. The 30-year-old has not been in Luleå's squad for the last two games, two in the SHL and one in the CHL.

He has felt weak for several weeks, but has kept going. At first we thought it was due to some kind of infection, says Luleå's physical education manager Mattias Waaranperä to NSD.

It is uncertain when Levtchi will be able to return to play. First, the cause of the heart rate abnormality must be determined.

So we have decided to, until we know what it is, take him out of training and matches," says Waaranperä.

The hope is that we will receive answers to the samples taken later this week.
