A merchant ship was subjected to a missile attack in the Gulf of Aden off Yemen on Saturday, reports the British trade organization for maritime traffic, UKMTO.
The ship was hit by a missile, according to the shipping company. No one was injured and no fires have been reported. The ship will continue to the nearest suitable port, writes UKMTO.
No one has yet taken responsibility for the attack, but the Iran-backed Houthi movement in Yemen has carried out attacks on shipping in the area since November.
