According to police, the individuals are involved in serious financial crime, violence and drug trafficking. They are believed to be in Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Spain.
During the year, the police's national department Noa has taken a closer look at 150 people who are believed to be connected to criminal networks and are abroad, which has now resulted in eleven decisions by the Swedish Migration Board.
When residence permits are revoked, those people are excluded from the Swedish welfare system, are not allowed to run businesses in Sweden and find it more difficult to reside in other EU countries.
