+ The defensive game
Graham Potter has not got his defensive game in order. In four matches, the national team has conceded eight goals, and it was mainly the counterattacks that the Englishman pointed to when asked why the defence is leaking:
"We have to get better there, it's too cheap. We can talk tactics all day, but if you give the ball away the way we did today (against Greece), the opponents get dangerous chances," Potter stated.
Team captain Victor Nilsson Lindelöf was missing from Thursday's match in Solna. According to the national team management, there should be no danger ahead of the World Cup opener against Tunisia. The centre-back's participation is a must if the Blue and Yellows are to achieve anything in North America.
+ Play both Viktor Gyökeres and Alexander Isak
The Gyökeres/Isak partnership hasn't had many minutes together before the World Cup. Against Greece they got the chance, but the big chances and interplay were missing.
"It wasn't our best first half in terms of play, so there weren't many combinations between us. But we've played a few games together before and it's always felt good," said Viktor Gyökeres.
For Alexander Isak, it was a slightly different role for much of the match. The Liverpool star dropped deep to retrieve the ball, something he pointed out after the 2-2 draw:
It's more natural for me to do it sometimes. But I won't do it all the time; Viktor and I try to mix up the roles so that we make it more difficult for the opponent.
+ Tough decisions await before the World Cup opener
Graham Potter does not want to finalise his starting eleven for the match against Tunisia. Several questions remain, for example, whether Kristoffer Nordfeldt will be trusted between the posts against Tunisia or whether it will be Jacob Widell Zetterström. Both goalkeepers had their match this week and neither has impressed. But at the moment, many signs point to the AIK goalkeeper: he was chosen when a seemingly more regular starting eleven faced Greece.
The central midfield is another concern for Potter, where he played with three against Norway and two against Greece. At times in both matches, the opponents were given large areas to operate in central midfield.
The national captain was asked several questions about whether he had his World Cup starting eleven ready, but was brief.
I have a lot of positions in mind. But there is still time and space. We have over a week of training until the opener. It is a balance between having an environment where there is competition and at the same time you need stability.
