+ The defensive game

Graham Potter has not got his defensive game in order. In four matches, the national team has conceded eight goals, and Potter mainly pointed to counterattacks when asked why the defence is leaking:

"We have to get better there, it's too cheap. We can talk tactics all day, but if you give the ball away the way we did today (against Greece), the opponents get dangerous chances," Potter stated.

Team captain Victor Nilsson Lindelöf was missing from Thursday's match in Solna. According to the national team management, there should be no danger ahead of the World Cup opener against Tunisia. The center-back's participation is a must if the Blue and Yellow are to achieve anything in North America.

+ Play both Viktor Gyökeres and Alexander Isak

The Gyökeres/Isak partnership hasn't had many minutes together ahead of the World Cup. Against Greece they got the chance, but clear-cut chances and interaction were missing.

"It wasn't our best first half in terms of play, so there weren't many combinations between us. But we've played a few games together before and it's always felt good," says Viktor Gyökeres.

For Alexander Isak, it was a slightly different role for much of the match. The Liverpool star dropped down to retrieve the ball, something he pointed out after the 2-2 draw:

"It's more natural for me to do it sometimes. But I won't do it all the time; Viktor and I try to mix up the roles so that we make it more difficult for the opponent."

+ Tough decisions await before the World Cup opener

Graham Potter does not want to settle on the starting eleven for Tunisia. Several questions remain, for example whether Kristoffer Nordfeldt or Jacob Widell Zetterström will be trusted between the posts. Both goalkeepers played this week and neither has impressed. At the moment, a lot speaks for the AIK goalkeeper, as he was chosen when a seemingly more regular eleven started against Greece.

The central midfield is another concern for Potter; he played with three against Norway and two against Greece. At times in both matches, the opponents were given large areas to operate in central midfield.

Potter was asked several questions about whether he has his World Cup eleven ready, but was brief.

"I have a lot of positions in mind. But there is still time and space. We have over a week of training until the opener. It is a balance between having an environment where there is competition and, at the same time, needing stability."
