A man in his 30s was found shot on a parking lot early in the morning on April 5, 2024.
The same man is suspected of having been subjected to kidnapping and robbery during the autumn of 2023. The fact that he to some extent provided information about the incident to the police will be highlighted by the prosecutor during the trial as a possible motive for the murder.
One is of the opinion that he has talked, or spoken too much with the police, and that would be a reason for carrying out this murder, says prosecutor Therese Umeflod.
The investigation into the kidnapping and robbery is ongoing, and in that case, other suspects are being held in custody. However, the murder suspects are not suspected of the kidnapping.
All we can see is that there are connections between the individuals, says the prosecutor.
Three men aged 18 to 24 are being prosecuted for the murder. A 20-year-old man is being prosecuted for aiding and abetting murder, while a 16-year-old boy and two women are being prosecuted for aiding and abetting murder or alternatively grossly protecting a criminal.
The trial begins on March 4 and is expected to last for 15 days, writes the Prosecution Authority in a press release.
