The man, who was sentenced to seven years in prison by the district court, will now have his sentence reduced to six years because he provided information that was of great importance to the investigation, the Court of Appeal writes in a press release.
The police found around 200 kilograms of cocaine in an apartment in Malmö a few days after a truck driver picked up a banana container with at least 1,200 kilograms of cocaine at the port of Helsingborg.
A total of five men were sentenced in the district court in April this year, several of whom appealed. For two of them, the sentences of eight years in prison for a particularly serious drug offence and life banishment are upheld.
