On January 1st of this year, expanded high-cost dental coverage was introduced, meaning that the state covers 90 percent of dental care costs for people aged 67 and over. Now, the SD wants to go further and introduce a similar reform for all age groups in Sweden.
According to the party's parliamentary group leader, Linda Lindberg, a fully-fledged reform would cost 10 billion kronor annually.
"This is what we are going to the polls on, and this is what we want to see."
Party leader Jimmie Åkesson was also expected to attend the press conference but only arrived after it had ended. According to the SD leader, this was due to conversations with the other Tidö leaders.
Åkesson described the dental care reform as a very strict demand.
