The state-owned mortgage bank SBAB is lowering the list rates on fixed-rate mortgages with binding periods of between 1 and 10 years by 0.10-0.20 percentage points. The variable interest rate, on the other hand, remains unchanged, the bank announces.

The new list rate for mortgages with a one-year binding period will be 3.42 percent, for 3 years 3.49 percent, and the rate for 10-year mortgages will land at 4.09 percent.

The interest rate cut is due, according to the bank, primarily to the fact that market rates have fallen, which means lower borrowing costs for the bank. The new rates will take effect on April 29.
