SBAB raises fixed mortgage rates after rise in long-term market rates

"The recent rise in longer-term market interest rates has led to higher costs for our financing and therefore we now need to raise mortgage rates. At the same time, we are also raising longer-term fixed savings rates by a corresponding amount, so that our savings customers have the opportunity to benefit from the change in interest rates," says Mikael Inglander, CEO of SBAB, in a press release.

The three-month floating mortgage rate is unchanged at SBAB.

SBAB's increase comes after Danske Bank raised interest rates on fixed-rate mortgages last Friday.
