Peter Hultqvist, also chairman of the Riksdag's defence committee, said at a press conference in the Riksdag that he also wants to see an immediate security investigation into what happened.
It's about a security crisis. It's aimed squarely at the Cabinet Office, that is, the Prime Minister's own office.
M: Clowning around
Jörgen Berglund (M), group leader for the party on the defence committee, rejects the initiative.
"This is clowning by a party that is panicking. They have lost 13 percentage points in recent years," he writes in a comment emailed to TT.
"There will be no meeting. Both Kristersson and Strömmer have been clear that if this information is correct, SD must of course act and ensure that the employee is allowed to leave his job," he adds.
The SD official - a woman who moved from Russia to Sweden in 2006 - is alleged to have spread articles and posts with Russian narratives from Russian state bodies and the news service RT, as well as from other channels known for Russian propaganda and disinformation, over the past ten years, according to Expo's investigation published on Thursday. She is also alleged to have praised Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Co-worker at the Government Offices
The woman lives with a senior SD official in the Government Offices.
It's about the risk of infiltration in the Prime Minister's Office, says Hultqvist, who adds that he wants to see the co-worker in the Government Offices take time out from his position.
I have previously warned that the Sweden Democrats are a security problem and may contain people who pose a security threat to Sweden. And it has been repeatedly noted how officials and representatives (of the SD) have spread Kremlin propaganda.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) demanded on Thursday that the woman be dismissed from her current position if the information is correct.
You can't have people who sit and spread pro-Russian narratives and work in the Swedish parliament, he said.
SD leader Jimmie Åkesson said on Thursday that the information in Expo was not previously known in the party and that the woman was not currently in office. According to the SD's press department, she is on parental leave.
