The message from Rutte was apparently sent on Tuesday and has been posted by Trump on his own platform Truth Social.
The NATO chief pours praise over the president.

The president's pressure on increased defense spending in NATO is praised in a almost Trump-like manner.
"You will achieve something that no American president has been able to do for decades. Europe will pay big, as it should and it will be your victory", writes the secretary general, with frequent use of capital letters.
Even before he took office in NATO, Mark Rutte was seen as a "Trump whisperer" for his way of getting through to the president during his previous term. Tuesday's whispering seems to take the relationship to a new level.
"Have a nice trip and see you at the king's dinner", concludes Rutte.
