Three people have been killed and more than 60 have been injured in Russian attacks on the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine. Among the injured are at least nine children.

17 drones are said to have been used in the nighttime attacks on two different city districts in Kharkiv, according to the city's mayor Ihor Terechov on Telegram.

A 15-unit apartment building began to burn and several other homes were damaged.

”People can be trapped under the rubble,” writes Terechov and adds that people were rescued from the burning houses.

Russia has attacked several of Ukraine's larger cities with drones and hundreds of drones in recent nights. Deadly Russian attacks were also carried out in Kharkiv on Saturday, resulting in four dead and around 40 injured.
