The man filmed, according to the Russian investigative committee, an air defense system in Podolsk just south of Moscow in April and sent pictures and geographic information to Ukrainian contacts "to guide a drone attack on this military site".
According to the committee, the man also brought weapons from Ukraine to Russia in 2017 for preparation of attacks in several border regions.
Russia is increasingly holding trials for treason, terrorism, extremism, sabotage, or espionage against individuals who are critical of the invasion war in Ukraine.
