Boysen writes to the news agency Ritzau that the Danish defense is considering accepting an invitation to let "Danish soldiers participate in short courses and training in Ukraine".
He emphasizes that no decision has been made, despite having previously told Danish TV2 that groups of soldiers will go to Ukraine to train in drone warfare, possibly as early as this summer. Over 70 percent of the Russian soldiers that Ukraine kills fall victim to drones, according to Boysen.
We are sending down a number of groups to directly look at the experiences Ukraine has made, he said to TV2.
If the initiative becomes a reality, the Danes will be unarmed and will not actively participate in the war. The Russian Embassy in Copenhagen is still warning that their lives will be in danger in the Russian war of aggression.
In an email comment to TV2, Ambassador Vladimir Barbin says that all military facilities, even if it's just about training, "are legitimate targets for Russia's armed forces".
