The vote came after the country's largest party, the social-democratic PSD, quit the government coalition and joined the far-right AUR in demanding a vote to oust the government.
Bolojan has come under public pressure because he is pursuing unpopular austerity measures to tackle one of the EU's largest budget deficits.
PSD, on the other hand, has ruled out entering government with AUR. Putting together a new majority is therefore expected to be difficult.
