The bank's monthly indicator, the Housing Market Temp, reported together with housing site Booli, shows an increase in December last year.
The indicator, which takes into account a number of factors such as sales times and the number of bidders, is now rising, thanks in part to an increase in bidders. However, SBAB writes in a press release that "the temperature in Sweden as a whole is still cooler for apartments than for villas."
The bank also notes that development is not progressing very quickly.
"At the current rate, temperatures will only return to normal towards the end of the year," says chief economist Robert Boije in the press release.
